Background
Located in Haicheng, Liaoning Province, the project faces the typical Northeast Chinese climate characterized by long, freezing winters, which severely restricts the operational window for outdoor water parks. To overcome these seasonal constraints, Haicheng Tianyuan Jibushi Hot Spring Water Park aimed to create a massive, year-round indoor water recreation destination by seamlessly integrating local premium hot spring resources with dynamic, large-scale water attractions.
Solutions
DaQi provided comprehensive planning, tailored space-optimized design, and complete equipment manufacturing for this mega indoor hot spring water park project. Under the property’s massive glass dome roof, DaQi engineered and installed multiple distinct water attraction zones. These include a colossal tropical pirate-themed adventure water house and a modern interactive戲水 fortress featuring specialized tube slides and a customized wide wave slide with vibrant, high-definition graphic coatings. To withstand the punishing high-humidity, high-temperature, and chemically treated environment typical of indoor hot spring facilities, DaQi applied its proprietary industrial-grade moisture-resistant and heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating systems across all steel and fiberglass components.
Project Highlights
- Climate-Defying Year-Round Operation: By coupling advanced indoor water structures with hot spring systems, the park completely eliminates seasonal limitations, driving high-frequency attendance even during harsh sub-zero winters.
- Precision Indoor Structural Engineering: Every piece of equipment was custom-configured to accommodate the indoor ceiling heights and structural columns of the large-span glass roof, maximizing vertical play volume without compromising safety clearances.
- Immersive Multi-Themed Experiences: The park blends diverse design vocabularies—from a grand, lighting-integrated tropical pirate shipwreck to sleek, contemporary interactive slides utilizing custom-printed cosmic/ocean textures—catering to both thrill-seekers and young families.
Client Feedback Since its grand opening, this indoor hot spring water park has successfully filled a major winter entertainment gap in the regional tourism market. Even during the coldest months of the year, the facility maintains peak visitor traffic. DaQi’s visually stunning, highly durable, and safety-compliant equipment has effectively transformed the resort into a premier, year-round weekend destination for families across Northeast China, delivering exceptional and predictable returns on investment.
