Located in Karamay, Xinjiang, the project faces the harsh climate of Northwest China, characterized by blistering summer heat waves and freezing, snow-laden winters, which severely limit the operation of outdoor water attractions. To address these extreme seasonal shifts, Karamay Ocean Star Water World planned a massive, premium indoor water park designed to provide year-round tropical leisure experiences. The primary architectural challenge was integrating a series of high-altitude, thrill-focused tube slides within a grand, curvilinear indoor stadium structure while maintaining strict safety standards and maximum visual impact.
Solutions
DaQi engineered a sophisticated, multi-tiered indoor slide complex tailored precisely to the stadium’s unique spatial geometry. The attraction features a colossal, centralized steel tower that supports an array of high-speed, multi-colored interlocking tube slides, including vibrant yellow, blue, red, orange, and black enclosed spiral flumes. These slides weave compactly through the upper structural columns before dropping visitors into a spacious indoor landing pool. To combat the severe corrosion risks caused by constant indoor humidity, chlorine evaporation, and thermal air currents, DaQi treated the entire complex with its advanced industrial-grade, moisture-resistant heavy anti-corrosion coating system, combined with high-grade galvanized steel supports.
